Since I was a child, I have lived a life immersed in art.
My educational experience has given me a sense of beauty, which is still at the center of my life and at the source of my success.
After a thirty year career on the world stages as a Principal Dancer and étoile of La Scala, I left dance because I wished to offer to the children of today—the civilization of tomorrow—the same opportunities I had.
The Foundation of which I am a President fulfills this wish through the new educational model: Masters of Art for Childhood.
Masters of Art for Childhood is not a new teaching method; it is the application of an educational philosophy which recognizes that imagination and the experience of beauty through art are the fundamental engines of the child’s development.
This approach allows children to imagine the future they wish to have, and acknowledges that they have the right and responsibility to discover their talents and live their lives as protagonists, not spectators.
